To those who are making plans for travel on roads near and around the Missouri River...
Be prepared to detour due to flooding - and a long-term flood event.
Consult with state DOT web sites for road closures along your planned routes, and be prepared to change plans.

might be a good idea to check if you are planning on being near any rivers/creeks/anything with water before you go, here in Utah the flood threat is high, also rock slices, etc.
Updates:

Will list detours - sounds like I29 in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area will close in the next 24 - 48 hours...
And they're saying this flooding could last into August.

The river is high, I29 always gets hit hard around Missouri Valley,IA., sometimes around Dodge Park on the Nebraska side. I'm currently in Carlsbad, NM. My wife hasn't told me if they have closed anything else. I did read that down by Nebraska City Sidney, IA exit #10 and #1 at Hamburg, IA. was evacuated.
