Road trip log

I have searched for the answer but I didn't see anything.

In the past I have always cleared my trip log after Jeeping on a offroad excursion once I was able to return home. Todays 20 mile offroad trip in the desert needs to be saved because I plan to bring others out there in the future.

Is there anyway to save it to my comfuzer :>) and then reload it to my Nuvi 855 in the future?

TIA,

Jim

Trip log

From Garmin help.

To create a route from the trip log on your Personal Navigation Device that features multi point routing, you must first have MapSource installed on your computer.

To create a route from the trip log::

Plug the GPS unit into the computer with the USB cable.
Open the MapSource program.
In MapSource, choose Transfer, then Receive From Device. A box displays with your GPS device listed. If the box does not display, press the Find Device button.
When you find your device, select the Tracks option and click Receive.
When MapSource receives your tracks, select Tools, then the Route tool.
With the Route tool, you can click on the tracks and create a route.
Once the route is created, you can transfer it back to your unit.

Shazam !!!!

smile smile smile smile smile

Thanks for the help.

Can I assume that I can save multiple logs to the comfuzer and then reload as necessary back into the Nuvi 855?

Can I also load multiple trip logs into the Nuvi at the same time or will the Nuvi only handle one trip log in memory?

TIA,

Jim

FYI

Just be aware that there is a slight difference between trip logs/tracks & routes, and unit capacities, functionality.

It's about the Line- If a line can be drawn between the powers granted and the rights retained, it would seem to be the same thing, whether the latter be secured by declaring that they shall not be abridged, or that the former shall not be extended.

Save it on the GPS Also

You can save it to you comfuzer with the instructions from Charles but you can also save it as a Trip Log or as a Route right on the GPS immediately when done 4 wheeling so you don't lose it. Then you can transfer it at any time to the PC. I think the Route createrd on your GPS would be much more desireable than a route created by Mapsource.
