Does this sound right? Maps

I'll be happy to help you with this. We do not have any information on the release of City Navigator North America NT 2012.10. According to your My Garmin account the NuMaps Guarantee allows for one or more free map updates with 60 days of April 7, 2011. So if there are multiple map updates released within the first 60 days of use you will get them all at no cost."

All this time I've been waiting for 2012.10 for my free map update,and if I read this right I can get the new one now and then 2012.10 when it comes out.

If so, how long has this been happening?

Dunno when but the wording has changed

I don’t know when they changed the wording but it looks like they have changed it (from the way I recall it was) here: https://my.garmin.com/maps/nuMaps.htm . That wording is now similar to what the rep told you

I.E. the bold letters have been added in “you will be entitled to receive one or more free map update”

Be very careful that you meet the timing requirements stated at the above link.
