Garmin 3790LMT 3760LMT

Have anyone purchase or used the Garmin 3790LMT? How do you like it? Any problems? I received one for Christmas thinking of getting a 3760LMT as a gift. Thoughts

I have

I have a 3790 and it's by far the best GPS I've ever owned. The 3760 is pretty much the same unit but the 3790 adds voice recognition and 3D building views.

We are currently waiting for a firmware update from Garmin to allow us to create multi point routes in Mapsource and transfer them to the Nuvi. Garmin has stated that this ability will be available 1st quarter 2011. Other than that I can't think of any problems with the 3790 that haven't been addressed.

I am still waiting for the 3790 to come down in price ... So its the 855 for me for now.

got the 3760lmt

I looked at both, and decided that the voice recognition and 3d buildings were not worth the extra, so I asked for and received the 3760 for xmas. so far so good.
a nice upgrade from my nuvi 680.

I have a GPS 855 and like it, but, I want the 3790LMT for the 3 D function. This might be the last one that I will buy. Waiting for the price to come down also.

I just ordered my 3790LMT and cannot wait for the first trip!

Nuvi 755T, 765T, and 775T all have 3d view and much cheaper

I've had mine since 2010

I've had mine since 2010 xmas and I like it just fine. My previous one was nuvi 670. So far the unit works fine with more features than 670.

It has few annoying things: It gets few of the old favorits wrong like which side of the street it is on - including my own house! The traffic doesn't seem to work (it'll say traffic when there's none or vis versa), at least where I do most of my travels which is in CT.

Other than the two, I am very happy with it so far. Now I'm learning how to install POI's to maximize the usability of the 3790! I haven't install any yet and not sure where to start...

I love my unit - I did however purchase the Total Traffic Network rather then just have the one that is already on it. I found that TTN has better coverage here and on trips

I've owned most high-end

I've owned most high-end models and the 3790 is the best PND that I have owned. Instead of telling you what I like I will tell you that I wish it had. Road avoidances and a larger screen would make this the ultimate.
