Looks like the Dutch police are going to use TomTom gps data to figure out the best places to set up speed traps!

There's already enough places to get crowd-sourced data

It's everywhere. There for the taking.

Is it TomTom or TattleTail?

Wow!

Buy a TomTom and help increase your chances of getting a ticket.

What a marvelous new fearture!

Navteq in the United States?

United States cops probably will not buy TomTom data, since it is not a US company so their data may not be accurate in the US.

However, US cops will more likely buy Navteq data, which would be a bad new for Garmin users.

TomTom on a plane

Time to start taking TomToms on aircraft - that'll throw off their average speeds. smile

isn't this

a good way to show love to customers? Giving them up to law enforcement. If TomTom did it, can others be very far behind in doing the same thing or something similar?

Screw TomTom.

Screw TomTom.

AFAIK, Garmin doesn't collect time/location data, so they can't hose their users like TomTom did.
