Hello Again

Hey everyone, after a LONG break I'm back... yeah I know nobody missed me, believe me I hear the same thing from my family so that's nothing unusual.

My old Garmin Street Pilot has been acting up, wasn't sure if I really needed or wanted a GPS anymore but finally did decide to get a new unit just in case I ever do need it, would rather have one and not need it then be stuck in the middle of nowhere and be without.

Bought a nuvi 255W, yeah, yeah I know but it IS newer, has all the features I need and lifetime map updates. Had to come back and get all my old favorite POIs, since my laptop bit the dust six months ago I had absolutely nothing, so I'm starting from scratch again. Have to learn what the nuvi can do that the Street Pilot couldn't. So I ask once again that everyone please be patient when I ask something so basic that you wet your pants laughing at me. I know I've forgotten more then I ever learned from my previous stay here.

Thanks for listening!

Hello

Well, I have never laughed at anyone so hard that I wet my pants. (There has been a few times someone scared me bad enough, but that is another story).

I have had a 255W for about a year but I have troubles remembering what I did two days ago. But I will be glad to try to help if I know the answer to any of your questions.

Welcome back JAFOZ28.

Welcome back JAFOZ28.

Sounds like a challenge to me!

Seriously thanks for the warm re-reception, hope that in due time I'll be able to contribute something constructive once again myself.
