Garmin Warranty Repair Turn Around Time

I have a Garmin Nuvi which I've been approved to send in for warranty repair. It is a pixel display related issue and not anything functionally wrong with the unit's software or firmware.

My question is though, what kind of turn around time can I expect with Garmin? Can anyone here on this forum give me a general idea of how long it may take for Garmin to fix and send it back to me?

I have an upcoming trip middle of next month where I would like to have my unit in my vehicle and I'm wondering if I should wait till I get back to send it in?

.

It's doubtful they will repair it...they will likely send you a refurb instead so make sure you backup your favorites before sending it in.

Had Planned A Backup Anyway

Thanks for the heads up on the backup. I had planned to do that anyway, but that link makes it clear and easy.

In a hurry....

If you can't wait Garmin will bill you for the replacement they send you and then issue credit when they get the returned unit...at least that is what they offered me many moons ago....

Thanks so much for the heads up. They did indeed send a refurb and I wouldn't have known what to do.

This forum is invaluable. My unit is back, all my custom POI's are reloaded, along with the Red Light Camera and Speed Zone files.

THANK YOU!
