Older 660 & Bluetooth

My 660 has held me in good stead except for the Bluetooth feature. Normally, the GPS and phone pair with no problem. However, occasionally when turned on the GPS doesn't pair up. Next turn on it does. At other times the Bluetooth disable and won't reenable, requiring deleting the bluetooth file and reinstalling. Any ideas?

Try deleting the phone in the nuvi. Reboot, then re-pair.

...more specific. I have deleted it from the phone nut when they won't pair at all the GPS Bluetooth had become disable. Attempting to enable it freezes the unit.

1st boot all functions work thereafter the phonebook doesn't load, recent calls don't load...I chalk it up to Garmin should concentrate on the GPS business and leave the Bluetooth to people who actually know what they are doing.

My 680 would fail and lock

My 680 would fail and lock the unit as well. Garmin had sent me the original bluetooth driver a couple of years ago. I have to delete the current driver and reload the old driver. Then with Web Update, install the new driver for bluetooth. All works for a while... Then, same old thing. Finally gave up on the 680 bluetooth feature and use an ear piece. Wish they could get it right on the 6xx series.
