Our city council just approved speed cameras on the interstate. Apparently it was a matter of the city put them in and got the revenue, or the state was going to. Either way it's still a civil enforcement of what should be a criminal infraction, and a money grab.

And in Arizona they just submitted a bill to BAN all Speed and Red Light Cameras in the whole state. This from a state that a little over a year ago was covered with Speed cameras, at least in the Phoenix area. Go figure!
