Turboccc Trend Micro warning

I've been trying to go to the Turboccc page and Trend Micro is warning me that the page might try to transmit malicious software. Is anyone else getting this warning? Has there been an issue with their site or software?

Probably a false alarm

turboccc routinely uses about 43 anti-virus programs to scan files on his site. See 3rd post here: http://www.poi-factory.com/node/32163

Micro Trends

Thanks for all the feedback guys!

If you have a subscription to Micro Trends anti-virus, you should send them an email telling them to double check the files. I have been told they have a very good customer service.

As reported, I checked my tools with VirusTotal. If there was a real issue, you can be sure more than 1 or 2 anti-virus would get it. Some anti-virus try to be very clever, but they are just looking for a sequence of bytes in the programs. If the sequence is found, they report the file as a virus.

Some programs like RGN_Tool were detected as a virus. I just changed the compile options from fast code to small code and this changes completely the signature of the program. Suddenly, it was not a virus anymore. Also, I compiled all my tools and made a check. No virus found. I recompile with the previous options and 1 or 2 programs were reported as virus.

For sure, these are just false positive. If you report this to your anti-virus company, they will fix their anti-virus and we'll be all happy.

Thanks for reporting.

McAfee

Works fine with mine.

I use Trend Micro and didn't have the problem. I have the latest version and it was updated today.

Reported to Trend

I have Trend Micro Internet security and it's up to date. (Activate protection against web threats is turned on and set to medium.) I'm still getting the warning but I did report it to Trend to review the site. There's no place for comments, just click a link that says it's been reported.

Thanks, everyone, for checking. I was burned by a web site several years ago and it took 3 days to recover from it. Didn't want to have to go through that again.
