Garmin Nuvi 1450

I have the Nuvi 1450, received it on Christmas. The voice would tell the name of the street to turn on as well as let me know if the final destination is on my left or on my right.

Well this does not happen anymore. It still lets me know how far before a turn and when to turn but the rest of the stuff is gone.

Any idea's????? Thanks,

no street names on garmin 1450

I do not believe all voices give the street name. did you recently change voices to one that does not give the street names ?

Choose a TTS voice

My guess is that you've switched to a voice that doesn't include text to speech. Go to your voice options and choose a TTS voice. (p 40 of the downloadable Owners Manual):

RESTORE

Well that is what I get for playing around. I went to voice options and did the RESTORE. Working now. Thank you.

Good that you got it working

Good that you got it working again- only the male/female language voices will give the street names. Anything "fancy" will not including those to download.
