Garmin nüvi 295W 3.5-Inch Widescreen Wi-Fi Only $62.99 Today on Amazon Gold Box deal of the day with free shipping.
We have two of these and love them. Uses WIFI for email, web browsing and Google live search. This is a steal

Great Price
I paid $108 for the unit at Amazon and thought it was a good deal. You get a free map update.
260, 295W, 1490T,2455LMT
Thanks
Thanks so much. At that price, it seems a great way to introduce me to a WiFi-capable device. I have no iPad or smartphone and doubt that I'll be getting anything like that in the near future. But this is a way to experience a device at a low cost with no monthly fees and have the ability to check weather, do web browsing, email, etc. while away from home--as well as the Garmin GPS navigation I'm used to in the car--plus a 3MP camera.
I've just ordered one and also downloaded and saved the Owners Manual to my computer so I'll be a bit more informed before my roughly 1+ week delivery with the free S&H option from Amazon.
I have to admit that the timing is also near-perfect given that these units when ordered now will almost certainly fall under the one free map update guarantee from Garmin to the next map update due in the next month or so.
I wonder how I'll like it compared to my 855. If I end up liking it a lot, I'll soon find myself waiting for another great price on the numaps lifetime card and need to buy that as well--ugh!
Note: although I'm, not going this route, you may want to. If signing up for a year of Audible.com Gold at roughly $15/month when ordering the 295w today at Amazon, the 295w is free...something good for the audio book, magazine, newspaper, etc. listener.
Garmin nüvi 295W for $63, is this any good?
Is this a good GPS?? Thanks
You are welcome, the deal was so good I ordered a third one

You are welcome, the deal was so good I ordered a third one for us as a spare to borrow out to guests when they come to visit us in Tucson.
I just load a bunch of things they want to see while they are here and it takes them around and keeps them from getting lost and if they need to find a restaurant or someplace else they can find it quickly with the built in POI's or live Google search feature.

It's a steal deal!!!
There also Garminfone which running Android and can download apps, have wifi, garmin map and lot more features. But you have to look on craigslist or ebay for a good deal. I got mine on craigslist for $120 brand new seal box.
295W is good
Although I have a 1490T and a couple of old 350's, I do like the 295W for its pocketability. It is sleeker than most smart phones, and it has a magnetic compass. When it is on WiFi, you can use it to search for POIs through Google ... and the neat thing is that you can then save the Google POIs you want into your Favorites. That makes them available even if you're on the road without WiFi.
what map
Does the map in the unit covers Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico but not Mexico?

No Mexico

Mexico was not included in my 295W.
thanks

City Navigator® NT for North America gets me confussed, on the soon to be released 2350 it covers Mexico but on the Garmin site for the 295W it only mentions Canada.
I assumed it did cover Alaska and Hawaii
