No voice?

Never paid attention to my dictionary, till i received my Oxford Travel Language Guide. Loading was easy but it doesn't speak the phrases, icon is not grayed out, but nothing happens when i push it. Just to see if i was missing something i used the webupdater and grabbed all the language files. No luck. Garmins website shows they did something to the language guide between version 4.7-4.8. I'm on Version 4.9.

It was the v4.0 FW that broke it when it fixed the touch screen issues.

Please report the broken Language Guide with firmware v4.0 to Garmin. That's the only way it will get fixed. And hopefully, their "fix" (IF it ever comes out) won't break something else... rolleyes

E-mail to Garmin

After getting the GARMIN LANGUAGE GUIDE i realized its useless because it doesn't Translate words and phrases in audible speech. The icon is there but nothing happens when i touch it. I then found out, it all broke when you fixed the touch screen issues with firmware 4.0. Going back to an earlier firmware is not an option. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Unfortunately, you are correct that there is an issue with the language guide on software version 4.00.

We are hoping for a software release in the near future to fix the problem, but I do not have a projected date for that release.
