Map Update for Nuvi 255WT and 265WT

I have owned a 255WT, with the FM traffic for a year. I don't use it much but when I need it, it is there. For Christmas I picked up a 265WT for my daughter.

Questions

1) I did not see anything for a free map update, but if they do, can that be applied to the 255 as well?

2) Can I manage multiple devices through the same PC interface?

3) any idea if a new map update is out or due to be released?

1-Go to myGarmin and register the new nuvi

Then with the nuvi connected, go to myDashboard to see if there's a new map update where it can be downloaded and installed. Note that the free map update has a time-sensitive window--don't wait too long for a future update and lose the free update window. Your year-old 255WT is beyond its free-update availability so to update this map, you'll need to buy a numaps OneTime update (not a good value) or a numaps lifetime update which will give the unit up to four map updates per year.

2-Yes, the same USB port, cable, and myGarmin account can be used for multiple GPS units.

3-The current map is 2011.30. The next map will come out when it comes out--but some time in February is a fair guess as to when it may occur.
