directiories Nuvi 200w, help!

I have a Nuvi 200w that I just bought and I recently downloaded the POI loader. I down loaded some of the POI's from this web site and added them with the loader. But the loader but them in the Nuvi 200 directory "Favorites" instead of the POI file. Now my Favorite file is full. How do I make the change?

Here is outline for custom pois and loading to gps http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25721 .You will have to go to your favorites and delete them.Tools,my data and delete favorites. Not sure but you may have to delete one at a time for the 200.

Other methods. You could do a hard reset and delete all the favorites at one time and manually put favorites back .You could also connect gps to computer and go to Extra Poi Editor http://turboccc.wikispaces.com/Extra_POI_Editor and under file select Open Garmin Favorites.Once loaded delete the ones you don't want. Then go back to file and select Save to Garmin Favorites.

Edit.Make sure to copy the current.gpx file.Connect unit to computer and go to Garmin drive.Garmin folder then gpx folder. You will see current.gpx there.Good idea to make copy of the complete garmin folder in case you have problems down the road one day.

Do a full backup

Please click on these two links by holding down the Shift key when you left click them and follow their instructions

http://www.poi-factory.com/node/30393

http://www.poi-factory.com/node/30394

You will get a manual, make sure some settings on your computer are correct for later POI loading and do a full backup.

With a full backup, you can recover from mistakes and feel better about following some instrustions like deleting favorites. If you did not like the results, you can return to the state of your backup.

I am a bit leery that POILoader is what caused the problem with your favorites - but strange things do happen.

temp.gpx

More likely, a gpx file was pasted to 200w drive, then when 200w was started up it processed the gpx file as a favorites import, similar to a temp.gpx file is processed.

That makes sense

and would explain what happened. Hope OP will tell us what he finds because he did imply that he used POILoader.
