Openstreetmap.org gave me updated maps. Y'all give me updated POIs like nobody else.
Now I just need to delete Garmin's out-of-date POIs. eHow said there would be a POI folder, but I don't see it.
It looks like the out of date gpi file and it's entire folder are packaged in some indistinguishable bin file.
Please help!
Try this
I am not a Linux user, but since no one has yet answered, I will try.
You need to look for your nuvi as an extra drive on the PC. If you have ever successfully worked with a USB flash drive, the nuvi will be similar.
Once you locate the nuvi it will have a directory structure something like this
nuvi:\
Audible
Garmin
JPEG
Reports
User
Then the Garmin directory will have
Diag
ExtData
GPX
Help
JCV
LEX_PKG
POI
...... etc
The poi.gpi file will be in the POI directory
