Copying POIs from one 1490 to another

I would like to copy the POIs I have on my 1490T to my 1490LMT. Does any one know if this can be done? If so, how? I'd like to avoid starting from scratch on the 2nd unit. Thanks!!

Find the POI.GPI file on the 1st unit and copy it to the second.

Copying POI's From One to another

You may need a special cable, and I'm sorry I don't know of one.
Whenever I change or update my POI's I go through the same scenario.
I would be interested in knowing also.

Use the GPS units' USB cables to copy the POI.GPI file from the one GPS to your computer hard drive, then from the hard drive to the 2nd GPS, making sure to place it in the correct directory.

Always back up your entire GPS if possible to a computer before you start manually tinkering with moving files to GPS units.

Thanks Box Car and Craig W!

That worked perfectly! I've copied Favorites that way before, but wasn't sure about POIs. (I did have to create a POI directory in the 2nd unit since there were no POIs on it yet.) Thanks again!

I do this for . . .

I do this for my wife's unit. I just take them from mine and copy them to my wife's device and email them to my brother. I do individual TourGuides, so they can get the ones that they really want.
