goofing off in the snack bar at the presidio of monterey,california......as a student at the US Army Language School ............ classes cancelled.
The next few days were spent in family quarters glued to the TV.
As a Special Forces trooper,it was a particular hard hit for us,since JFK was a very staunch supporter

In the 59th F.I.S. on the Flight Line at Goose Bay, Labrador, when the radio came on in my vehicle, saying the President had been shot. Very sad day.
