REMEMBRANCE DAY VETERANS DAY

The Act Of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.

And may we ever pray

" Lord God of Hosts,
Be with us yet,
Lest we forget,
Lest we forget."

p s Thank a Vet or better yet buy them a coffee, sit down and listen to their story.

Veterans Day

Have the courage to act instead of react. Thanks to all Veterans out there and to my late grandfather who served during WWI.

I Thank You

To all who have served, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thanks to my uncle who went down on the Arizona, my father and mother who both served in Hawaii during Pearl Harbor who have recently passed away, my wife who served in desert storm, my brother-n-law who is in Irag on his 4th tour, my other brother-n-law who recently retired from the military after 25 years, and all the others who have served. As a military vet myself from the Vietnam days, I can remember when we got spit on when we came back. Luckily, it is not that way today. Too many forget the freedoms we have today is because of our verterans. God bless you all.

Veterans Day

The next time you see a man or woman in a uniform of the armed forces, do a small kindness by going up to them and say thank you for your service.

Remember freedom is not free and many have given their lives so that we can use this forum to express ourselves.

I'm not really lost.... just temporarily misplaced!

How about sending a care package to a vet

overseas, if you know of one. Otherwise, make a donation to a military-related charity. Or contact a military base near where you live, and ask them how you can donate something (if only 'xmas Toys for Tots' drives or the like). I see lots of 'support our troops' stickers on cars in my town. But, actions speak louder than words. Give money, or some of your time, or something else of value, back to them. It'll be appreciated.
