Considering getting one, I have a 265W currently. Interested in the lifetime maps and traffic. Anyone have one that can advise?

You can add both to your current unit. Adding a GTM25 Traffic Receiver will provide traffic while a lifetime map subscription provides the maps. Both can be had for about the price of a new unit and you get to keep the features you have rather than loosing some to another with the possibility of gaining others.

While gaining junction view may be important to you, you do loose the ability to have the unit play through your vehicle's sound system.

You can connect the audio out to an adapter that plugs into your vehicle's stereo unit. Usually this is a cassette adapter.

Some units can use the FM transmitter - if you can find an open station but that can change when you leave the area.

A third option is an external box between your unit and the car stereo which will play the announcements from the unit while allowing the entertainment system to play.

But the one thing you HAVE TO HAVE is an audio out from the GPS. Not all the units have this any more.

That would explain it. I

That would explain it. I didn't realize some 265WT would come with an audio out port. I just assumed that all the devices with the same model number had the same components. Mine is one without the audio out port.
