Question on the Nuvi 1390T and UK

How can I tell if my garmin has UK maps. 
Yes I know Bring it with me and find out it doesn't work, when I get there and turn it on. I want to check Before i end up Lost trying to find Stone Henge. 
And if I need more maps what do i need to do???? 
I need to get a UK and France Map???? I need some help 
If bought in US
If bought in US, I would doubt that it would have UK maps. Indeed, one have to look at the specifications on the box to see whether a GPS unit has just the USA or a North America map (which would include Canada and Mexico)
Looking at the Garmin web site, a normal 1390T has preloaded street maps for North America although it could have been configured with either Europe or Australia maps.
Assuming you have been using it here, it will likely not have UK maps unless you purchase them.
To verify this
Touch Tools > Settings > Map > Map Info to see which maps are loaded.
The UK and France maps
those maps are $$$$ kind of pricey, Maybe I'll just stick to the paper maps. $79 for UK, and another $79 for france a bit steep, I can get a lot of taxi's for that kind of money....

Your 1390T will also have the World Routeable Basemaps installed. These maps do not have a great deal of detail but do have major highways/roads that maybe enough for you to get around with.
Nuvi 350, 760, 1695LM, 3790LMT, 2460LMT, 3597LMTHD, DriveLuxe 50LMTHD, DriveSmart 61, Garmin Drive 52, Garmin Backup Camera 40 and TomTom XXL540s.
Is this on the 1390T?
Your 1390T will also have the World Routeable Basemaps installed. These maps do not have a great deal of detail but do have major highways/roads that maybe enough for you to get around with.
Your response implies that this basemap is on his device. How would he verify that? I have to assume you know since you have a 1390T.
I got interested in whether or not I might have such and did a search at Garmin. The only thing I found was the following.

Many Garmin units and software use a basemap apart from the detailed maps. The basemap is not very detailed and contains only political borders, major highways, most city locations, and major airports. Unlike the detailed maps, the basemap is not locked.
The basemap that is included with any version of Garmin Mobile XT is a worldwide, routable basemap and includes world wide coverage.

Due to the Now pending warning about travel in UK and Europe (UK, France, and Germany). Like all the Places I wanted to take my Wife. She now does not want to go.
I am now switching my 25th Anniversary travel plans to Hawaii. I'll take my chances with Kilauea.
Now is Hawaii covered as its really not part of North America is more Archipelago in the Pacific Ocean?????
