I have been a truck driver for awhile now and before all the trucking gps units came available I got the nuvi 205w. I never liked trying to find truck stops on it since the database was obsolete. I resorted to a pocket truck stop guide and then just set the exit number listed as the via point. Just found POI Factory today and downloaded the Truck/RV Fuel Stops file and I have to say the information there along with the rest areas, weight stations, cat scale locations, walmarts and all that is just going to make my life a lot easier.

Thanks. I'm actually already making my own poi files. When I get the hang of it I might just have to post some stuff.
Welcome to the Factory, kmcclellan.
This is a great site! I have been here for over 3 years and I'm still learning things.

We will be looking forward to seeing your poi contributions. Thanks for the effort.
I agree this site is a gold mine. I've only scratched the surface.
This has become my only hang-out for the latest GPS information. Forever, I have been interested in my garmin and its capabilities. Now that I have a smartphone , I am hoping this site will further my knowledge of navigating with it.
I agree 100%. Always learning something.
