I would cool it down if I knew how. This summer has been brutal... and after a colder than normal winter (which I'm sure you remember).

And it's still too hot down there.

I agree. Even the weather lady on one of the local TV stations has been using the word "oppressive" to describe her forecasts. I didn't know "oppressive" was an accepted meteorological term!?!
Although, she probably can't use your word on the air.

Is there any status connected to being last on the Chit Chat thread? If so, I can hold out longer this week.
Spent the last week in Puerto Vallarta. What a hot, humid place this time of year, but relaxing by the pool with iguanas swimming by and running around was fantastic.
I hope everyone had as great a week as I did.

End of an era, I think
Tiger Woods won no PGA tournement this year! Although he is still a "top" player, and will win again on occassion some day, I think his years as the "dominant" golfer are over, and it is not at all a sure thing that he will beat Jack Nicklaus' overall records.
The NBC commentators today mentioned that he is over 2 strokes higher PER ROUND this year. So, comparing to previous years, if he would win a tournement by 5 in the past, he would lose it by 2 or three in the present. He will "be back", but not like he was.
The competition is also getting better, too, so he won't be winning easily, even if he gets back to where he was (which he won't)
