Why can't GPS be more interactive

I really wish there was button that could be pushed on the GPS when the driving directions take you to a wrong place or a place that is closed. I really enjoy using the POI function, but sometimes my little buddy (Garmin) does not know where the heck he is going. There should be away to report the information via the GPS unit. If a few people confirm the same information, then the information is most likely correct. What do you think?
Your GPSr would need a full time data connection
to make that work, and work well. Meanwhile, one can always report things they find to: http://mapreporter.navteq.com/ -- and eventually, corrections will be put into future map updates.
