My wife and I are taking a trip to Florida from KC, and will be spending an afternoon/evening in Memphis on our way back next weekend. We're staying at the Peabody, and have heard that Beale Street is the place to go, but it looks a bit overwhelming to say the least.
Any recommendations on bars/restaurants to check out. Hoping for some live blues, and I need to see just how Memphis BBQ compares to the KC variety I'm so used to. We're also considering a stop in at Dyer's to eat a fried burger. Is it as good as the hype?
