Cheapest price ever for lifetime map updates?

I see the Lifetime map updates on Amazon is currently $79.95.

From the threads I've seen, this is actually a pretty low price. I'm curious if the current price is the lowest anyone has seen or if it has gone lower? What's the lowest price the Lifetime Maps have ever been?

Yep considering we probably have the best gps, Garmin has to offer at the moment and its discontinued to boot

What would sell me on

What would sell me on getting lifetime maps -- or even just the so-called 2011 maps -- is how accurate they are. I currently have a 760 (bought like new on eBay). It came with "2009" maps but I was entitled to free download of "2010" (in May 2009).

I did and installed them and it still had lots of streets and POIs out of date. Streets are indicated as connecting when they don't, one way the wrong way, new POIs don't show while sometimes newer ones do show, and so forth. In the case of Panera Bread and a few others, I downloaded custom POIs from this board.

If someone is interested in communicating with me, I'd mention a few errors in "2010" maps so that they could check if corrected in "2011" maps.

Quote marks indicated because as you know the maps are labeled for the following year.
