POI Detail Screen Content On 255W

I've recently acquired an inexpensive Nuvi 255W to replace my 250W (I wanted the TTS). I've just been adding some custom POI files from this site and noticed a problem.

Selecting a specific POI from the displayed list brings up the detail screen (the one with the Go! button). But the screen does not look like it did on the 250W; there is nothing showing but the "name" (from the third column of the .csv file) in bold characters at the top, there are NO "comment" data (the fourth column of the .csv file) below this. There is a "More" button at the bottom of the screen which does show the "comment" data but this is a pain.

Is this what I get with my "upgrade"? Anybody else notice this? Is there a fix or workaround like with the repeating second line on the 250W?

Thanks,
Larry

I think you are stuck with

I think you are stuck with the More button.

See if this FAQ helps at all

When I did this FAQ I don't think the 255W or the 250W were around or even if it applies exactly to these two, but this might give you an idea how different Garmins display both csv and gpx file info differently depending on model.

Try some variations and see what happens on the 255W. Your situation sounds similar to what I found between my 200W and 765T. On the 765T only the name and gpx address, phone info show on the first screen, everything else goes on the more screen.

It's about the Line- If a line can be drawn between the powers granted and the rights retained, it would seem to be the same thing, whether the latter be secured by declaring that they shall not be abridged, or that the former shall not be extended.

I have a 265 same as 255

I have a 265 same as 255 except Bluetoothe.A csv file usually shows just the name or any other info in column 3 or c.Touching more tab shows other information based on data put in.On the other hand a gpx file shows all info on first screen if done correctly.Main reason I convert some files to gpx using Extra Poi Editor.
