Looking for new GPS

I have a Garmin nuvi 360.....its time for a new one! I'm open to any brand. What's good? What do you have and why do you like it? Would you recommend it?

Consider..

cool

With the recent firmware update for the 7x5 nuvi units, you may want to CONSIDER going with the 765t.

What's Good:
Lane assist
Junction view
Eco route
Speed alert (changes to red when over)
4gb memory internal
3D View
Many more features

What's Bad:
Free lifetime traffic (useless...get msn or clear channel) I use MSN.

Firmware 4.0 has fixed many of the issues with the these units. (screen touch was the biggest)

765 will get you ALL you need in a good Garmin unit.

If the Nuvi 360 is running, you have time to study your next buy

Take your time, do yourself a favor and study different brands, be sure the features are there and what you need and want. Don't let anyone Jade you to what they have, most are first time users and have only had experience with one type of GPS.

You know what you have now (Nuvi 360)so compare every thing from there. Start with online reviews, then go to the stores and Place them in your hands and toy with the features. Just be a educated buyer you won't be sorry.

Garmin 855

is my choice. If you want to create and store custom routes, there are only a few choices. I don't use bluetooth, so the 855 is for me. I've had it for 6 months and I've been very happy with it.

Here is a link to the 1490T review. After reading the review I bought one and couldn't be happier....and everything they say is true....

Bobby....Garmin 2450LM

iphone G4

Its GSP part should work better than its antenna, according to news coverage.

Nuvi 360

I too have a Nuvi 360 and asked the same question a few weeks ago. After a number of really great posts and suggestions; the one compelling suggestion was keep the 360 and buy nothing. The 360 has audible books, mp3 player, bluetooth, rock solid and with updated maps very relevant. It does NOT have some of the "slick new" features like lane assist and the ability to input multiple trips but that aside - keep teh 360 - I am!

Several places on the web have it for $138. Just do a Google search to find them. I paid more than double for one a year ago.
