Lake Norman, NC, POI's

Hi all, what a great place this is. I've been veeery slowly mapping Lake Norman, NC, for the past 5 years, trying to get all the channel markers, shoals, islands, restaurants, gas docks, harbors, marinas, etc., identified to share with the local community. I've taken what I have so far and uploaded it into GoogleEarth, if you are interested you can download a copy of my "Tour Lake Norman" file at:
http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/140571/...

I'll also be sharing the POI's if you are interested. I'm just transferring everything over from my old tried and true Garmin eTrex to my Magellan RM 3000T, and am going out on the boat tomorrow to see how accurate the transfer is. I found so far that old POI's have shifted by around 10 yards from one new software update on my Garmin, so am wondering if all my markers are now off. No biggie, as I enjoy wandering the lake during the day while the wife's at work and the kids are at school. Nothing like having a 27 foot floating wet bar to tour the lake on!

Anyway, great site here, and I'll be back in often to share my POI's. You guys have some great info here and I've already learned a ton that I didn't know about my own GPS receiver. Thanks to one and all!!

I've uploaded the Lake Norman POI's in csv format. For any of you that want it in MGLN or GPX format, rather than changing it yourself just drop me an email and I'll send you a copy direct. I will also have these stored on my Tour Lake Norman site, along with my kmz files for GoogleEarth. When I've moved that site to my production server I'll post a note here and then you can easily download these items directly from my site, if you're interested.
