I may possibly be the only person on the planet who does not care for soccer.

Wow, pretty surprised at the GER-ENG game; even with the goal England was robbed of, Germany is dominating more than expected - at least at the 75 minute mark (4-1 GER-ENG)

Really disappointed at the US defense yesterday. They gave up a couple of goals that should never really be let up. Oh well, it happens. Germany is kicking the snot out of England now as someone stated. If Germany is able to play like this against everyone, they'll be hard to be beat. They look good. I think Argentina will still take it though.

The refs (linesmen) made two terrible mistakes on Sunday, giving a lead goal to Argentina (v Mexico) and taking away the goal from England that would have tied the score (v Germany). No matter who you're cheering for, I gotta think most fans don't like to see these terrible mistakes.

Two mistakes? Seems like there's always a bad decision on every game. This game will be more fun to watch if they make fair calls. How about allowing video reviews?

2. Widen the goals 10 feet..maybe you won't kiss your sister so much..
3. Video replay - although Baseball is still somewhat ignorant on this too - it's the 21st century and a world stage..embrace it!

After a first half in which it appeared Brazil would run away with the game, the Netherlands came back in the second half and made an exciting show and got a win to boot!

Uruguay over Ghana was a wild one yesterday. Spain's win today was impressive.

Germany vs. Spain should be a great match.

At this point, I'm picking Spain vs. Netherlands in the final, with Spain taking it (that might just doom Spain though!).

Young team, but looking pretty strong . . . anyone's tournament to loose at this point.

I'd like to see Spain take it, but I'm not sure they can get past Germany. Germany's form lately has been phenomenal, blasting England and Argentina 4-0 each.

The Netherlands have a good chance against Uruguay, especially with Suarez suspended, but it is not a gimme.

I kept hearing about the South American dominance after the qualifying stage of this World Cup was done but after the smoke has cleared, it looks like European teams are the dominant ones and save for a deliberate handball by Uruguay and the subseqent win via penalty kicks, South America was almost shut out completely from the final 4.

I'll take Netherlands to hold the "Cup" at the end of the day on Sunday.

Thankfully I don't have to watch grown men flopping about and pretending to be in pain from fouls that never happened for another 4 years.

World Cup Soccer soon will be on par w/ the Olympics, as far as biased, corrupt, and unfair judges. That is a shame.

I love to watch them both. You don't have to like soccer to see how important the game means to the individual and more importantly country pride.

Interesting game, but not the best of finals. Four years ago a head butt to the chest was a red card. Yesterday's high kick to the chest should have also been a red card.

It really is too bad regarding the flops and bad officiating.

Even if you don't like soccer, I think most can appreciate the athleticism of the players

The game was settled in extra time and not penalty kicks. If two 15 minute periods can't settle it, sudden death should come next (IMHO).

The best team won yesterday. The Dutch need to work on their sportsmanship.

Spain played good and really deserve to win the cup.

Here in France we didn't comment on "athleticism" of the local Team. Unless I totally misunderstood the meaning of that term ? Would a synonym happen to be a four-letter word, by any chance ?

Athleticism means being an athlete - being physically fit and being good at some type of physical event. Commenting on someone's athleticism is generally a compliment, unless you say they don't have any.

It is unfortunate both sides played such a tentative game, but I think the best team won the cup.

That's exactly what I meant - they just acted like some soap stars, bitched some, and then were tossed back home. You can tell by my tone that I do not favour them

Spain did not deserve to win. The Spanish fans need to give up their racist behaviour. They are a disgrace.

I find that I still would rather watch grass grow.

I would agree that some Spanish fans have displayed disgraceful racist actions, specifically against Samuel Eto two years ago when he played for Barcelona. However, don't blame the team for the fan's behavior.
