Where is the best place to download mp3's. I know I'm 10 years behind the times. I used Napster in 1999 when it was still free. I lost interest when it started charging. I've looked at them and Amazon and emusic, but I'm wondering if there is some, preferably cheaper, place I've overlooked.
iTunes and then convert
the music to mp3. That's what I do.

Why?
Why bother with iTunes and then converting? The music there costs just about the same as on Amazon and you don't have to convert the latter.

Media Players & your CDs?
Why not just convert your CDs to MP3s -- that's what I did and it's totally free
There are plenty of free open source players (on whatever system you run -- Windows even comes with Media Player) which will do the conversions for you.
Just make sure to check your settings before you start (I find that the 320 Kbps MP3s works really well no matter what you're playing them on )
