The person in charge at the City was on the news tonight and has instructed the engineers that control the light timing to further increase the length of time that the yellow is on now at all these intersections. They want to be fair and so there will be no chance that they will be accused of creating a trap to catch motorists unfairly by decreasing the yellow light period.

and one is often parked in front of the school two blocks from my house... And when that isn't there, motorcycle cops can often be seen a mile west of the school. The way people speed down that road, I'd be OK if they all were there more often.
The news is saying that there will be a 30 day grace period before they start issuing tickets for these three. Best have the file up to date and treat them as they are already in revenue-generating mode.
I haven't heard anything about the fourth new camera at Craycroft & Golf Links yet and haven't been by there lately.

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - The City Council has approved four new red light cameras at various intersections in town.
Councilman Rodney Glassman said Tuesday that the council has decided to expand the program.
Tucson Police spokesman Sgt. Diana Lopez confirmed the move to install more cameras.
The intersections where the cameras will be installed include:
Grant and Swan
Speedway and Kolb
Broadway and Craycroft
Swan and Golf Links

The City Council just voted and approved the installation of these four additional cameras for Tucson this afternoon.
No word yet as to when they'll be installed.

These three are in the RLC POI files already. Time for me to update my GPS.
