Delete Function Deleted in 2.4.0.1

I can't remember what I have, but I know that it is 2.4.x.x version of it and I have the delete function.

Yes, there's no delete. It's still beta so maybe that will be changed. It's easy to work around that, though.

Not really a big deal. Whether it was their oversight or they realized it was not necessary.

You could have 500 custom poi files loaded, then the next time you run poi loader, load one poi file with one waypoint and you will end up with one custom poi.

each time you run poi loader and load a file, you in affect remove everything that was there and replace with the current upload.

We are talkin Custom Poi, the factory pre-loaded things are not removed.

Beta version 2.4.0.0 had it, latest version 2.4.0.1 does not. I also have the c530

Eric - great feedback. Looks like Garmin are listening. I asked them a similar question and the response was "Look out for future versions of the POILoader beta software",

lsmonop - understood - but some people wanted the ability to totally delete ALL custom POIs rather than replace previously loaded files with new files ... so that the option to select Custom POIs at all was no longer was listed.

I downloaded the latest beta on 4/9 and there was not a delete option

Anyone know why?

No one knows. Since it's still in beta, it's possible that it will be included when the "non-beta" version comes out.

You all probably know this ... but to round off the discussion ... the functionality of the Beta POI loader we were talking about is now in the production version ... the delete function is re-instated ... and the sub-category function now works on the C320/30 with the latest unit software
