Nuvi 1390T How do I know if I got the lastest maps?

I got the new 1390T and when I try to see if it is the latest I do not know how to check on the unit and at Garmin. can you walk me through the process?

If it's like my nuvis, this should work:

Touch Tools/Settings/Map/Map Info

The current map, by the way, is 2010.40

If your nuvi has an earlier map and qualifies for the free map update, connect it to your computer via the USB cable, then go to myGarmin:

https://my.garmin.com/mygarmin/customers/myGarminHome.faces

and register your unit if you haven't already, then check to see if your nuvi has a map update, free or otherwise, waiting for you. Good luck.

By the way, whether there's a free map due you or not, if you're considering buying the lifetime numaps for your new nuvi, Amazon is a great source and a low price:
