760 Questions

In 2006 I purchased a refurbished Nuvi 660 on eBay (my first GPS) and I loved it. No problems other than a few silly routing issues that just didn't make sense. Two weeks ago it was stolen from my truck. So I bought a 765t and after using it once, I boxed it up and returned it. Doesn't tell me the up coming cross street and I really don't need my device to tell me to turn right 57 times before I turn right. On the 660 I was able to adjust the voice prompts to guidance only or something like that. I did not see a way to adjust that on the 765t. After researching this site, I found the models that support the cross street info and I decided to purchase the 760. Can anyone tell me if the voice prompts are adjustable on this model like it was on the 660? It just annoys the crap out of me for the GPS to tell me "turn right in 1.5 miles, turn right in 400ft, turn right in 200ft, turn right onto Summer Ave." Thanks in advance and by the way, great site!

Nope

The warning will very with speed.

.

Our 760 will give three notices/warnings - "turn right in 400ft, turn right in 200ft, turn right onto Summer Ave."

When we had a 660, it worked the same way.

As bilson commented, the warning distances are longer the faster you're driving.
