Voice recognition not responding on maestro 3250

I have tried everything to get the VR on my maestro 3250 to work..I have contacted Magellan, and did everything they suggested: re-setting; updating firm ware etc;..Still no joy..
Any suggestions other than returning unit to magellan.
Thanks

Don't bother.......

Assuming that the "command set" is the same as my 4250, my advice is "Don't bother". Mine works but I find it generally useless. Look at the command set in your manual and see if you don't agree.

The exception to this might be if you are using it as a Bluetooth link to your phone.....but even then the commands are severely limited.

Oh,and if I have the radio on or my wife is talking, sometimes it will "activate" by mistake. Maybe I should look to see if there is an OFF option !!!

Voice recognition not responding on maestro 3250

Thanks,
The rest of the features work fine..I have a maestro 3100 and it did not have VR, and I was fine with that..
There is a feature in system settings(at least on the 3250) that you can activate or deactivate the VR.
The 4250 may have the same setting.
Thanks for the advice..I may live without the feature since the rest of the unit works just fine.

VR

I have to agree to not bother with the voice recognition. Just getting my 4250 to recognize that I am speaking to it takes more time and frustration than what I could have done by just tapping on the screen a few times.
