Map and Compass
Just wondering how many people still can navigate with a map and a good compas?
Yes, I can still navigate with topo map and compass. Did so on and off trail in the mountains and deserts of Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana while I lived in those states and now South Dakota.
Although I now use my Garmin Venture as my primary navigation tool while hiking in the Black Hills, I always carry my Cammenga Model 27 lensatic compass and a topo map of the area.

I can still do it! Learned many years ago in the Boy Scouts. I had the compass out a couple of weeks ago (discovered during basement cleanup), and my granddaughter asked me what is that... Part way into my explaining.... she says .."why not just use your gps?" ....

How many folks can navigate by Lat/Lon?
I can but I prefer to print my topo maps with UTM or USNG coordinates. I think it is a lot easier locating positions on the map using those systems.
I also still have celestial navigation sight reduction tables which can be used along with a sextant to calculate lines of position. Still have several navigation books such as Bowditch's American Practical Navigator and George Mixter's Primer of Navigation.

As far as the rest of the states I would say it is nice here in FL but since 1999 we have not ever ran our heat as much as we have going back to late 2009 to present.We have had some really cool days for this time of year but not complaining for what everyone else has gone through.I know shortly we will be back to high 70's.
The movie Avatar in 3D was something else.I can see now why it has made so much money.
