question for Garmin experts on Voices

So, we all know that some Garmin units support TTS Voices, and others don't. My question is this. Are the voices on the least expensive units that support TTS the same as the TTS voices on the most expensive units? And has anyone noticed a difference in the voice quality?

On a side note, a NUVI M20 should be coming home in a few weeks with a friend who is in Singhapore. If I do get it, I'll post some info here about it, and will take it on a trip to Europe to see how well (or not) it works.

From what has been posted in the past the voices are the same. The engine driving the voice does vary between the models. DorkusNimrod probably knows more about this. Of course with different engines, the quality will change. Better speakers in the higher end units as well. If you run the audio through the car stereo I don't know how much difference you would hear.

The higher-end nuvis like the 3xx/6xx/7xx/8xx use the Nuance RealSpeak Solo TTS speech engine:
