Can I create a POI file from a MapSource .gdb file?

To paraphrase the words of another member here: 'Forgive me for being completely retarded, but...'

I have a list of about 300 members of a (motorcycle) riding club, saved as waypoints in a .gdb file. I'd like to turn these into a POI file, to be distributed to said club members. Can this be done, and if so, how?

I have the same information saved as an Excel .xls file, which is how it came to me. The author of that file gave it no thought for conversion to POI. Would I be better to start with the Excel file?

Thanks for any insight you can offer me on this. It's about as clear as mud to me.

Use EPE

While MapSource can Save As a gpx, it does not setup the bluetooth dialable phone #'s. Even if it did, it throws them away diring a save.

http://turboccc.wikispaces.com/Extra_POI_Editor#toc5 will read your Excel file and populate all the fields. You will be pleased with the results.

Yes, use Extra POI Editor.

You will need to set up the preferences for one of the M Column masks so EPE knows what information is in each column of the XLS file. (And EPE reads and writes .XLS files so you don't have to worry about converting it or a CSV.)
