Need more info

Can you provide a little more info on the problem?
What kind of alert are you getting - sound, message on screen?
What is the name of the CVS file?
Did you get the file from this site or elsewhere?

.

Is there a numeral (eg 1 or 2) in the FILE NAME?

Numerals in the file name are interpreted by POI Loader as speed alerts.

Yes, watch the numbers

That bit me in my earliest encounters with custom POI; I had downloaded the Walmart file and since there was already one in my target directory I ended up with something like Walmart.csv and Walmart(2).csv

It drove me nuts for a few days wondering why every time I drove by a Walmart I got a speed alert!!! Experience can be a great teacher as long as the experience isn't painful. laugh out loud

Same experience for me

Same experience for me. I was wondering why I was getting alerts when approaching 7-11 stores.

A little research and problem resolved.

Wachovia

When i get close i hear a beep then (Wachovia Bank) appears on my screen.
The File is (Wachovia) no numerals, here a copy of the line that appears most often.

I looked at different solutions and could not find any

Thanks

How do you run POILoader

If there is no number in the file name, how are you running POILoader to convert the CSV file to a GPI file? Do you run it in Express mode so no alerts are set since nothing in the sample line suggests an alert, or are you running it in Manual mode and have checked the box for "This file contains proximity alert points."? If running in Manual mode, you would get alerts if default speed=0 is marked or some distance is indicated.

If need Manual mode for other POI files, just uncheck the Proximity alerts question so it doesn't create any for Wachovia.

Express mode

I run it in express mode.

now what?????

Ron

.

Run it in Manual Mode and see which POI file comes up with alert information and what that alert information says.
