Garmin Voice Studio™ and the Mac...

Hi Fellow Mac users,

I See Garmin just released "Garmin Voice Studio™"
http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/site/us/ontheroad/voicestud...

This application only runs on a PC and not a Mac.

I called Garmin this morning (it took 35 minutes to get through) and couldn't get a definitive answer as to, if and/or, when this application would be available for the Macintosh operating system.

I was advised to keep checking the Garmin website, for any further news on this product.

If Garmin decides to make this application Macintosh-compatible, I hope it's sooner, rather than later...

Regards,

I'm not holding my breath...

I'm dead already

I use Linux exclusively and have had no joy in getting any support from Garmin. It seems that unless you have Windows, then you are up the creek without a paddle.

Hi TnPapa,

Now that Apple has gone to the Intel processor and it's possible to run Windows on a Macintosh. I'm sure many Mac users, including myself, don't want anything to do with Windows, even on a separate drive in their computers.

It's just unfortunate that, as a Mac user, I have to wait until the powers that be (Garmin), release a version of the Garmin Voice Studio, for my operating system.

Just my 2¢...

Yes

I wish that they would release Mac programs at the same time as windows. My wife has an embroidery machine, and it can only use windows program. I had to install windows 7 so that she could transfer her designs from the macbook to her sewing machine. 38 years of marriage teaches you the art of compromise.(yes dear) smile
