Traffic Question on a Nuvi 755T.

The other night, I turned it on after work and set my route home. A traffic warning popped up and told me I had a 17 min delay.
My route only has traffic is there is an accident or construction. It was too late in the evening for construction but even if it was an accident, because of the nature of the area, a 17 min delay seemed highly unlikely. Especially, in the area the Garmin was indicating the delay was located.
I started to consider an alternate route, but I kept telling myself there was no way there was a 17 min delay.
I traveled another 3 or 4 miles. Before I got to my decision point on an alternate route, I powered down and powered back up.
No indication of a delay now.
I took my usual route home and never had a delay or any indication that such a delay ever existed.
Anyone have an explanation on why this happened?

Here in the KC area, I have seen the same. I've not rebooted the unit, but chalked it up to incident management where a accident or delay gets entered in the system, but not removed in a timely manner. I'll have to try the reboot next time to compare.
