proximity alert display takes up whole screen on nuvi 265T

I am using the red light camera poi files on my nuvi 265T. Usually, warnings display briefly in a small, unobtrusive box on the screen. Occasionally, the warning display will occupy a large box covering most of the screen, including any upcoming turn information and stays on the screen for awhile unless I tap 'ok'. I have looked at a particular poi that has caused this and can see no difference between it and other poi's. I am not even sure the same poi will always cause the large screen. I am using the Garmin poiloader with standard settings. I've also tried using custom settings.

Away from map???

cool
what you have is a notification screen when you are away from the MAIN map screen...if this is happening while you are in map mode then your unit has a malfunction problem and not the POI file itself. This should ONLY occur while away from the map.

Using alternate map was the problem

I monitored my usage and realized that I get the "large" notification screen when I am using the alternative map. That is, I sometimes tap on the map screen to get my bearings using the alternate 2D, north up style map. It's then that the large warning display is the most bothersome.
