My Garmin C580 will not turn on. I have plugged it in to my computer USB Cable, my car charger, and a different car charger. None of these work. I am out of warranty. Is there anything I can try?
This has worked on my C530 when it appeared dead.

Look in the user guide to pull off the bezel in front and then press the RESET button.

C580 will not turn on
I broke the screen on my garmin C580 and bought a broken unit on ebay with a good screen and swapped the unit screen. If you pinpoint the issue you can do the same thing. This unit is not hard to take apart and put back together. The battery is a real dangerous issue and should only be attempted by someone with experience and understanding of working with electronics. If you heat the battery with your soldering iron it will explode.
