x85 nuvi's discontinued

I noticed today that Garmin now lists the 285, 785 and 885 nuvi models as discontinued.

Probably because they all come with MSN Receiver

Probably because they all come with MSN Receiver and MSN has announced the discontinuation of service on 1/1/2012.

I have the 885 and love it but I sold the MSN receiver on EBay and use a FM traffic receiver so no problem with traffic service at this point.

885T

Removing the 885T leaves no current nuvi model with voice recognition and blue tooth.

865T

I wonder why they don't have the NAVTEQ version of the 800-series, like an 865T. I would've bought one of those over the 765T, but they don't exist. I specifically didn't get the x85 models because of the MSN direct time limit.

As alandb stated, it would be nice to have an 800-series unit with free lifetime traffic, bluetooth, and voice recognition.

865T

Wasn't the 865T packaged as a Europe map only model?

Europe

Not sure, but I would assume that models with European maps "built-in" would follow the normal Garmin model criteria of being a x75 number.

Again, I could be wrong though.

Looks like you're right.
