Garmin 765t FM transmitter

Quite disappointed with the FM transmitter feature on my new 765t. Followed all the instructions to get the Garmin sound through my car speakers. Yes, it does work, but the amount of static is horrible. NOT a useful feature. Have tried different FM settings with the same poor results. Anyone having good success with this feature?

Where is your vehicle's antenna in relation to the NUVI? You need to rememer the output power is purposely kept low by both Garmin and the FCC so you don't bother other drivers.
If your antenna is mounted in the center of the roof near the rear window, just think of all that steel it as to penetrate.

Mine works quite well. Just have to find the right frequency.
