Texas Red-Light Camera Rakes in More Than $1 Million

Duncanville's camera at Danieldale Road and U.S. 67 tops the list. The camera issued more than 19,000 citations and generated more than $1 million in a one-year span.

Cash Cow

That is simply amazing. There has got to be something wrong here with the red-light camera. Probably goes from green to red with no warning in order to generate so much revenue. I wonder how much is going to Duncanville, Texas and how much goes to the red light camera installer.

plausible

That averages to about 2 tickets per hour, $52.62 per ticket.

something sounds fishy

Either people there drive like garbage, or that camera isn't working right. If I lived in that area, I would want it checked out.

Check this out! Here's just a small Texas list.

Check this out! Here's just a small Texas list. There are 233 red-light cameras in the Dallas Metro area alone.

That's why I love my Red-Light POI!!!

Everyday is a GREAT day :)

Texas Red Light Cameras

Texas is the state you know you can make money on a red light camera. People here suck at driving. I have lived here for 4 years and have to say that I wish I had a red light camera to make $$ with.

Apparently you don't have any experience with drivers in

I think Texas drivers are some of the best compared to drivers in many states' larger cities.

Apparently you don't have any experience with drivers in large cities in CA, NV, AZ, WA, NY, MA, CN, NJ, MI, IL, GA, FL, PA, OH and MD...

PS - I have never seen a Texas driver flip off another driver. In Texas a lot of drivers carry weapons - flipping off another driver wouldn't be a good idea! Flipping off another driver in NYC is like a friendly wave...

I've driven in all states.

I've driven in all states. The Texas gun law does not scare me. I shoot back and don't miss.

Hahaha!

Hahaha!

It shouldn't scare anybody - as long as they act properly.
