Make Vehicle go faster.

With simulator mode turned off, generally pressing harder on the gas pedal will make the vehicle go faster (assuming it is not aimed at another vehicle or immovable object of course).

Unfortunately in simulator mode there is no way to control the speed. It just runs at a programmed speed based on the road segment on which it is driving.

Oh well, I guess I'm stuck with that speed.

I don't know about other GPS units, but when I am doing simulation mode, I max out the plus (+) sign bringing the picture in closer. It doesn't have to write so much to the screen as it does when you are showing more detail. In other words, the more the detail, the slower everything happens.

Older Garmin autonav units (Quest, GPS V, Street Pilot, etc) allowed one to increase the simulation speed to be faster than real-time so you could complete a route in simulation mode in a fraction of the time. This is not the case in any of the nuvi series units.

Like others stated you can't increase the speed but you can change the start location of the vehicle making it closer to the coordinates you want to test.

Plug your GPS in to your computer and go to Google earth. Click on "tools" then activate the GPS. Put your route in and it will fly you along your route at any speed you want. Feels just like flying!
