I have a Garmin Nuvi 350. I updated my Extra POI Editor to the 380 version which appears to be for the Nuvi 760.
Can someone point me back to a version that will work with the 350.
Thanks.
Fred
Not Model Specfic
Extra POI Editor is not model specific and will work with any Nuvi. The program looks like a 760 because that's what Turbocc owns.
All previous versions are on Turbo's website, http://turboccc.wikispaces.com/Extra_POI_Editor although I don't know where you got 380 as it doesn't appear on the list.
Nuvi 350, 760, 1695LM, 3790LMT, 2460LMT, 3597LMTHD, DriveLuxe 50LMTHD, DriveSmart 61, Garmin Drive 52, Garmin Backup Camera 40 and TomTom XXL540s.

what is the advantage
what is the advanage of using this as opposed to the regular one?

This may be a dumb one . . . but why is it called "extra?"

What "regular one" are you talking about?
Nuvi 350, 760, 1695LM, 3790LMT, 2460LMT, 3597LMTHD, DriveLuxe 50LMTHD, DriveSmart 61, Garmin Drive 52, Garmin Backup Camera 40 and TomTom XXL540s.

You may want to have a look through the main thread for this program at http://www.poi-factory.com/node/21156 . You'll see there what makes it such a great program.
I'm not sure why we have another thread here talking about this program.
Nuvi 350, 760, 1695LM, 3790LMT, 2460LMT, 3597LMTHD, DriveLuxe 50LMTHD, DriveSmart 61, Garmin Drive 52, Garmin Backup Camera 40 and TomTom XXL540s.
Why Extra?
Why Extra?
LOL! Because this helps create POI files that appear under the "Extra" button on your GPS.
Remember that this was my first GPS and at the time I only knew about Favorites and Extra POIs.
While we are at it, EPE works for all models of Garmin GPS. The only thing that is specific to the Nuvi 760 is the preview screen. I made sure that the way it displays the POI is nearly pixel accurate to the 760. If you have a 3.5" model instead of 4.3", things will be displayed slightly differently, but this is the only thing.
EPE stays one of the best tool to edit/create/manipulate your POI. If not, complain to the author and he will make his best to satisfy you.

You should also point out that if someone is unhappy with the program they can get a 100% refund of the purchase price.

Thanks for the info clarification. I'm new to this thread and haven't used EPE yet. The name struck me and i couldn't figure it out. It looks interesting and useful . . when I get some time I will check it out. Thanks for your work!

Move this Thread
Shouldn't this thread be moved to the main one that Turbo started and not have more than one running? just wondering

The main thread has over 800 comments and is 17 pages long. The last released version (4.22) was announced/commented upon on page 14. Everything since has been detailed discussions about the beta versions (now at 4.41 I think).
I strongly recommend to have two threads, one for most people, addressing/commenting about the released versions and another thread for the specialists/beta testers. Otherwise, the beauty and simplicity of that software will be lost to many.
