Mapsource

Welcome! There are a few different ways and I'm sure you'll get a bunch of suggestions here, but using Garmin's Mapsource program is probably the easiest.

Search the threads here for how to get it and install it if you don't have it already.

It's about the Line- If a line can be drawn between the powers granted and the rights retained, it would seem to be the same thing, whether the latter be secured by declaring that they shall not be abridged, or that the former shall not be extended.

Another option

Another option is to use the free program Extra_POI_Editor from turboccc.wikispaces.com. It will read the favorites file directly from your Nuvi and allow you to edit the entries before saving them as a GPX or CSV POI file.

thank you both for the info

going to check them both out
if all goes well can then upload fishing and crabbing spots that have been productive for me so others can use too

Yes, EPE

I misread your post a little. For some reason I thought you meant your track log points. Mapsource is best for that, but as a_user said, Extra_POI_Editor (EPE) is probably easiest for points you marked as Favorites.
